In September of 1998, the Muslim families from the Northeast Valley joined efforts towards achieving a shared vision: building an Islamic Center for the community of Scottsdale, Arizona. This extraordinary group worked diligently in making this noble project a reality despite the obstacles. They remained inspired by the words of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (pbuh): “Whoever builds a mosque for the sake of Allah, small or large, Allah shall build a house for him or her in Paradise.”

ICNEV officially opened its doors for the first Jumaa Prayer on September 8th, 2000.

The Islamic Center of the Northeast Valley was created with the intention of achieving the following objectives:

  • Provide religious and social services to all Muslims, render help to any person of similar persuasion in adapting to the Islamic culture and provide channels of understanding and communication between Muslims and the Arizona Community in general.

  • Organize activities and provide opportunities for the spiritual training of its members in accordance with the teachings of Quran and the traditions of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

  • Engage in the propagation of Islam (Al Dawah).
